Want to get serious? Our Mine Digs give you access to the entire property, including the working mine and the untouched primitive area**. Spend the day in the primitive area on undug ground or chase the veins in the working mine...or both! Mine Digs gives you the opportunity to open a fresh pocket in the mine or try your hand in the forest.
This is a true hands-on experience. Mine Digs are not guided, so you’ll be choosing your spot and working the ground yourself. The primitive area offers plenty of natural shade under the trees, while the mine is more open—shade umbrellas or gazebos are recommended. You can take your time exploring different areas, switching between the forest and the mine to see where the best pockets are. It’s a great option for families or groups, since you can split up between the woods and the mine and dig how you want to dig.
Mine Digs are by appointment only,and reservations must be made through our website at least one day in advance. This helps us manage group size and ensures that every visitor has the space and support they need to enjoy the experience. Mine digs can accomodate up to 5 collectors per day.
The mine is conveniently located just 5 to 10 minutes from local restaurants, grocery stores, and hardware shops—so it’s easy to grab food, supplies, or ice during your visit. While the road in is gravel, 4-wheel drive is not necessary. Regular passenger vehicles can access the site without issue.
Hand tools only are permitted. You're welcome to bring your own gear, but we also offer tool rentals, shade umbrellas, and pop-up gazebos on-site for those who want a little extra comfort while they dig. We strongly recommend bringing plenty of water, sunscreen, and weather-appropriate clothing.

** Recommended tools/gear: 3-4lb mini sledge hammer, assorted chisels, small screwdrivers, pry bar, newspaper to wrap your finds.
** Crystals are not guaranteed — you are paying for the experience and opportunity to find crystals.
**Active pockets or pockets reserved for Pocket Digs may be off-limits.
** We do not have a working bathroom, only an outhouse — bathrooms are in the works.
** We are dog friendly as long as you have a friendly dog.
