A beautiful amethyst crystal cluster on matrix from the Purple Ninja Pocket, Piedra Parada, Tatatila Municipality, Veracruz, Mexico. This specimen features a prominent focal crystal set in a bed of smaller amethyst crystals. The assemblage has all formed over a bit of the host rock, which provides the perfect perch for the main amethyst crystal, which is gem-quality, dark purple and highly lustrous. It is a partial scepter as well and is free of any significant damage. There is one side crystal that has a contact rather than a termination.
