A very nice smoky quartz crystal with brookite from recent production at Moses Hill, in Magnet Cove, in Hot Spring Co., Arkansas. This specimen features an etched, smoky quartz crystal that hosts several sharp, jet-black brookite crystals. Brookite is a rare titanium mineral that is found at Magnet Cove in superb quality and this specimen is a fine example of the material. The quartz has a nice gemmy zone at the termination that shows a strong chocolate color when backlit. The piece is in good condition with no major damage to report.
