An ouststanding dufrenite with beraunite from the Three Oaks Gap Mine, in Polk Co., Arkansas. This specimen consists of a bit of matrix richly covered in dark burgundy sprays of beraunite that have been overgrown by steel blue spheres of the rare phosphate dufrenite. This is an exceptionally fine specimen of this rare species. It was collected by Al Kidwell and acquired in a trade by Mike Groben in 1984 - both labels come with the specimen as does a custom acrylic base, made in house by our master base maker, Jacob. The piece is in pristine condition with no damage worth reporting.
