An outstanding fluorite specimen on a quartz matrix from Mandrosonoro, Ambatofinandrahana District, Amoron'i Mania, Madagascar. This specimen features an assemblage of fluorite cubes on matrix. The fluorite crystals are mostly a green color, with a thin blue zone at or near the surface - this final blueish zone causes an interesting color to the cube as a whole. You end up with a beautiful blue-green hue. The crystals are set on a matrix of off-white drusy quartz that formed over the host rock. This provides excellent contrast between the blue-green fluorite crystals and the off-white quartz matrix. The assemblage is very aesthetic, although there is some damage - minor edgewear and small dings to corners, as well as several cleaved cubes near the bottom.
