A stunning fluorite specimen on a quartz matrix from Mandrosonoro, Ambatofinandrahana District, Amoron'i Mania, Madagascar. This specimen features a grouping of blue-green fluorite cubes on a bit of matrix. The fluorite crystals are mostly a green color, with a thin blue zone at or near the surface - this final blueish zone causes an interesting color to the cube as a whole. You end up with a beautiful blue-green hue. The crystals are set on a matrix of off-white drusy quartz that formed over the host rock. This provides excellent contrast between the blue-green fluorite crystals and the off-white quartz matrix. The assemblage is very aesthetic, with the fluorite crystals perched dramatically atop the matrix - well balanced and super aesthetically pleasing. There is some damage - minor edgewear, as well as some significant chatter to one edge - the back corner of the large cube also shows a significant chip. Custom mounting is available at checkout.
