A superb (and very large) Japan-law twin quartz cluster from the Collier Creek Mine, near Mt. Ida, in Montgomery Co., Arkansas. This monster twin measures nearly 5 inches across and has a white phantom in the smaller gemmy crystal - this crystal is repaired back on unfortunately but that keeps the price down significantly. The larger crystal exhibits good parallel-growth and the twin hosts several other smaller crystals. The entire piece is completely crystallized all the way around, making it a full floater with no true point of attachment. Some of these are recrystallized areas so it did not form as a floater, but rather recrystallized on broken areas while mineralizing solution was still present in the pocket. The piece is in fair condition overall - aside from the repair there is some chatter on the termination of the largest crystal, as well as one small broken crystal with the root showing on the front of the specimen.
