A very nice kidwellite over beraunite from the Coon Creek Mine, in Polk Co., Arkansas. This specimen was collected by Al Kidwell, who first discovered the species in Montgomery county in the 1970s. Kidwellite is a very rare phosphate found in the novaculite deposits of the Quachita Mountains in Arkansas, as well as numerous other localities across the world. This specimen has a rich coverage of olive green kidwellite over beraunite (and likely cacoxinite and/or rockbridgeite). It is a nice colorful sample of this rare material and is undamaged.
