A superb quartz crystal from I Me Mine, near Jessieville, in Garland Co., Arkansas. This crystal has very high luster and exceptional clarity. It exhibits parallel growth at the termination where two crystals have intergrown and share prism faces - a habit the mine is well known for. There is also a lovely S-face, or window, at the juncture of the prism and terminal faces that has an internal fracture just behind it causing a beautiful rainbow by the refraction of the light. There are some significant internal fractures that come up from the base of the crystal and have pocket clay trapped inside. I wouldn't consider this damage, just character - plus it adds a splash of color. There is a tiny, almost imperceptible ding on the backside of the termination, but no other issues or damage worth mentioning.
