An exceptional quartz crystal from I Me Mine, near Jessieville, in Garland Co., Arkansas. This large, elongated crystal has superb luster and good clear zones - it also has a light, but natural, grey smoky hue, as well as black inclusions which we presume to be carbon although testing has not been done to confirm this. The crystal has a brightness to the gem zones that only the very best have and the prism faces boast crisp striations. The piece is in fairly good condition overall - the termination has an old chip that is lightly recrystallized, not truly damage in my opinion but it does affect the profile of the crystal. There is also a significant chip on the backside where the inclusions are that is not recrystallized - although this is old damage, there is a bit missing. Custom mounting is available at checkout.
