A very interesting quartz crystal from I Me Mine, near Jessieville, in Garland Co., Arkansas. This crystal shows clear indications that it experienced high stress and disruption during formation, evidenced by the diagonal split that run through the middle of the piece. The affected area has been completely recrystallized, indicating that the mineralizing fluids were still present. The split goes deep into the crystal and almost ruptured it entirely. It has good luster on all faces, while the interior is opaque to translucent. The specimen is in good condition with no significant damage to report. Custom mounting is available at checkout.
