A huge double-terminated quartz crystal from I Me Mine, near Jessieville, Arkansas. This crystal weighs over 6 lbs and is about the size of a football. It is completely crystallized all around - 360 degrees of sharp edges and mirror-like faces. It has some gemmy sections near the main termination, while the lower terminal end shows dramatic and complex recrystallization. The bottom of the crystal experienced major stress and disruption in the pocket and completely sheared off from the main crystal but recrystallized back to its parent crystal at an offset angle. Super cool! The piece has a pale - but natural - smoky hue and there is no significant damage to report. Custom mounting is available at checkout.
