A very large, and very nice quartz crystal from I Me Mine, near Jessieville, Arkansas. This crystal weighs an impressive 3.7 lbs and is nearly the size of a football! It has several gem sections that host black inclusions (presumably carbon) and exhibits some recrystallized faces on the backside. The luster is mirror-bright, appearing almost wet when in motion. The terminal faces show very interesting growth hillocks and record keepers that add to the intrigue of the specimen. The only actual damage worth noting are several micro dings (1-2mm) on the termination - there is also an area on the backside where a crystal used to sit but it was naturally broken in the pocket and lightly recrystallized.
