A superb, gem-quality quartz crystal from the famous McEarl Mine, near Blue Springs, in Garland Co., Arkansas. This crystal is from the celebrated finds of the 1980s, which many consider to be the finest discovery of clear quartz in the world, certainly the continent. It's so clear that it almost disappears when trying to photograph it - like crystallized ice. This particular crystal is totally transparent, from tip to tail. It has mirror-bright luster and is of such quality that is disperses the light spectrum into rainbows when turned around in your hand. It has one very minor scratch to the back face but is in fantastic condition overall. This piece was purchased by a friend of mine directly from Jimmy Coleman in the early 1990s, and still has the original box it came in. Custom mounting is available at checkout.
