Quartz
Quartz
A superb, gem-quality quartz crystal from the famous McEarl Mine, near Blue Springs, in Garland Co., Arkansas. This crystal is from the celebrated finds of the 1980s, which many consider to be the finest discovery of clear quartz in the world, certainly the continent. It's so clear that it almost disappears when trying to photograph it - like crystallized ice. All the faces have exceptional luster, and the piece is completely transparent from tip to tail. It is of such quality that it disperses light into rainbows when turned around in your hand. There is a contacted area near the bottom and a very small ding (<1mm) on one of the edges. This piece was purchased by a friend of mine directly from Jimmy Coleman in the early 1990s, and still has the original box it came in. Custom mounting is available at checkout.
