A superb, gem-quality quartz crystal from the famous McEarl Mine, near Blue Springs, in Garland Co., Arkansas. This specimen is from the celebrated finds of the 1980s, which many consider to be the finest discovery of clear quartz in the world, certainly the continent. It is comprised of a large, chunky quartz crystal of exceptional quality - smaller accent crystals have formed on the backside, giving the piece good depth and contrast. The crystal shows high luster on all faces and boasts exceptional clarity. A large S-face, or window, adorns the front of the crystal making for a dramatic display. There is a small contact just below the window, and another on the bottom right of the piece. One small crystal near this lower contact has broken off, leaving the root exposed and the termination partially included into the crystal. It comes with a custom acrylic base, carved and engraved in house by our master carver Jacob.
