An excellent smoky quartz crystal from I Me Mine, near Jessieville, in Garland Co., Arkansas. This large single crystal boasts a light, but natural, smoky grey hue that is relatively uncommon in Arkansas quartz. It has very high luster, good clarity, and ghostly wisps within its interior. The entire bottom and backside are lightly recrystallized where it sheared off in the pocket and along contacts. The prism faces exhibit beautiful striations while retaining their luster, and the terminal faces have interesting growth hillocks and "record keepers". The specimen is in good condition overall with no significant damage worth mentioning. Custom mounting is available at checkout.
