Smoky Quartz with Inclusions
Smoky Quartz with Inclusions
A lovely smoky quartz crystal cluster from I Me Mine, near Jessieville, Arkansas. This unique specimen shows a large, faden-style crystal on the right-hand side that has dark black inclusions (presumably carbon) and shows a visible white faden line running through the middle. Just in front of that is a vibrant orange crystal, colored by inclusions of the iron-rich clays that fill the pockets. A large prismatic crystal with excellent clarity and luster adorns the left-hand side of the specimen (this crystal is repaired back on at the base) - it towers over the faden crystals, facing it almost as if mid-conversation. Between these two features is a crystal with a large circular inclusion of the same black material mentioned earlier. The piece also has a slight natural smoky hue, which is uncommon in Arkansas quartz. Aside from the repair, there is one crystal with a damaged tip - these issues are unfortunate, but they do make this specimen much more attainable that it would be were it absolutely perfect. Custom mounting is available at checkout.
