A very nice quartz crystal from I Me Mine, near Jessieville, Arkansas. This crystal has a natural light smoky hue to it that most don't have. It has excellent luster on all faces and good clarity in the top and bottom - a ghostly wisp adorns the interiors midsection. Some smaller crystals of varying sizes and shapes have formed on the back face, and several of those crystals are partially penetrating. The piece does have some unfortunate damage - some chatter to the termintion, as well as a ding on one edge. The contacted area on the backside is lightly recrystallized, indicating separation in the pocket while the mineralizing solution was still present. The piece displays beautifully on its custom acrylic base - made in house by our master carver, Jacob.
