A very interesting quartz crystal from I Me Mine, near Jessieville, Arkansas. This crystal exhibits a faint, but natural, smoky hue - uncommon in Arkansas quartz. There are some amorphous black inclusions near the base of the crystal that form a partial phantom. Near the terminal end of the crystal, several cracks formed while still in situ, which allowed the iron-rich red/orange clay to penetrate the interior of the crystal giving it an orange coloration. The cracks are internal except where they reach the surface and would not be considered damage in my opinion. Custom mounting is available at checkout.
