A rare vesuvianite crystal from Magnet Cove in Hot Spring Co., Arkansas. These vesuvianite crystals are relatively unknown from Magnet Cove as they are exceedingly rare. Crystals are typically heavily etched and often show only a tan-brown color. This is a fantastic example - a large single crystal that is completely crystalized all around. It has a beautiful yellow-green color and is in good condition overall, with only minimal etching and no significant damage worth mentioning. It hails from the Art Smith collection, who was a well-known collector of Arkansas minerals. The specimen comes with his label, as well as a custom acrylic base made in house by our master base maker, Jacob.
