A beautiful blue wavellite from Mauldin Mountain, in Montgomery Co., Arkansas. This find is distinctive from other finds of blue wavellite I'm familiar with - whereas most is a late-stage growth over green wavellite spheres, this find is true blue to the core. Broken radial sprays show blue coloration throughout, indicating there never was a green stage. This piece has exceptional color and luster for the find. It shows a flat deposition of small botryoidal blue wavellite that has formed between to bits of the host rock. It is good condition with no real damage to the crystal, save some broken spheres along the edges, which is to be expected. Custom mounting is available at checkout.
